OAHS and Northside Medical Clinic have been fortunate to have Sarah Ristvedt in our community since October. Sarah is a 3rd year medical student at the University of Minnesota and chose Ortonville as her site to do an RPAP rotation. The Rural Physician Associate Program is a nine-month, community-based educational experience for U OF M third year medical students. They live and train in rural communities where they experience hands-on learning as they care for patients of all ages.
Sarah grew up in Beardsley, MN on the family farm. Her parents are Douglas and
Theresa Diekmann and she has two sisters and a brother. Sarah is married to John Ristvedt, CGB high school science teacher, football and wrestling coach. Sarah and John have a Brittany spaniel named Gibbs (who is in control of them and the house!). In Sarah’s spare time (not that she has much of it) she enjoys golfing, knitting, camping and spending time with family and friends.
We would like to thank her for all of her hard work, great personality and dedication that she has shared with us at OAHS/Northside Medical Clinic these past months. Thanks Sarah!
