About OAHS and Ortonville MN:

Ortonville Area Health Services (OAHS) is a rural city-owned health care organization located in west-central Minnesota on the Minnesota/South Dakota border. OAHS consists of a 25-bed critical access hospital, 64-bed long-term care facility, a home health agency and a 6 physician and 4 advance practice provider medical clinic with a strong specialist outreach clinic of over 20 visiting specialists. Additionally, we have a 34 unit senior housing unit (assisted living, independent living and memory care) nearby and a 6 chair hemodialysis unit on our campus.

In 2011 we completed a 20 million hospital replacement project and are now in the planning stages of another building project of approximately 19.5 million which would add an additional 34 units of senior housing and replace our current nursing home with 51 private skilled units.  OAHS continues to be highlighted by its commitment to excellence in medical care and customer service while creating a strong financial viability. OAHS was awarded the Clifton Larson Allen Gold Standard for financial strength in the top 10% of critical access hospitals and received the Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence award for consistently achieving the 95th percentile of performance in patient satisfaction – nationwide. This along with many other state and local recognitions show our commitment to those we serve.
