I believe in providing holistic care to individuals, families, and communities by working together to improve a wide range of mental health concerns.   I believe in collaboration, listening, empathy, flexibility, and including patients in the decision-making process to obtain optimal mental health.

Clinical Expertise

Twila is a Nurse Practitioner who specializes in the treatment of patients with mental illness. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing degree from Bethel University in 1991.  Twila worked as an inpatient psychiatric registered nurse from 1992 -2011 then worked in family practice clinics as an RN. She found that mental health concerns present across all specialties in healthcare.  This led her to continue her education and complete her Masters in Science degree from the University of North Dakota in 2017.  Twila is licensed by the Minnesota and South Dakota Boards of nursing to utilize a variety of assessment and treatment modalities including psychiatric evaluations and psychotropic medication management.
