Direct Access Lab Testing

Ortonville Hospital Lab department offers the public an opportunity for lab tests performed through the Direct Access Testing program.

  • The program allows patients to order tests from a Direct Access menu.
  • Appointments for Direct Access start at 8 a.m. and end at 4 p.m. Monday –Friday and again from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. on Saturdays. (Appointments are not required but highly encouraged.)
  • Payment is required at time of service. Cash, check, or card accepted.  OAHS will not bill Medicare or insurances.  Direct Access Testing is performed for patient’s convenience at a significant reduction in price because it is done on a “cash” for service basis only.
  • Lab test results will be mailed directly to the patient, not the patient’s physician. Patients are encouraged to share the results with their healthcare provider.

(* Indicates a 10-12 hour fast required)

  • ABO/Rh (Blood Type)
  • CBC
  • *Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (includes glucose)
  • CRP (C Reactive Protein)
  • Free T4
  • *Glucose
  • HCG (Pregnancy screen test) – First morning urine specimen is best
  • Hgb A1C (Hemoglobin A1C)
  • *Lipid Profile (Cholesterol, Triglyceride, HDL, LDL)
  • Protime
  • PTT
  • PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen)
  • Strep Test
  • Thyroid Panel (TSH and Free T4)
  • TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone)
  • Vitamin D
  • Health Panels Available (12-hour fast is recommended for best results)
    • *General Wellness Screen (Comprehensive Metabolic Panel, CBC, Lipid Profile, and TSH)
    • *Women’s Health Panel (Comprehensive Metabolic Panel, CBC, CRP, Lipid Profile, and TSH)
    • *Men’s Health Panel (Comprehensive Metabolic Panel, CBC, CRP, Lipid Profile, PSA, and TSH)
